Hi;
    A question.  Is anyone having trouble with  the NT intel prerelease locking
up applications?  I've been fighting the problem for a while and I seem to
have isolated it to the dongle driver.  The lockup occurs at random. Usually
it happens when I close an application (with the mouse ) and open an other
application (with the mouse ) and try to select (with the mouse) anything in
that application.  The applications top bar becomes deselected and the mouse
can no longer select anything in that applications window.  If I do a cntl
alt del to bring up the task list and end the task, using the mouse it
becomes deselected also.  Using  the keyboard keys to select items in the
application still works (if I don't use the mouse in the application first).
 I can then end the task (using the keyboard) but everything that I open
after the initial crash will then crash if I use the mouse in that
application.  The event log reports nothing in error and I don't get a blue
screen crash (hex dump) as you do with a hard NT crash.  The system is a
P100 using the triton chipset.  I'm running NT version 3.5 (I'm going to
move up to 3.51 shortly). The parallel port is set to compatible mode.  I
have 32 meg of ram and a diamond stealth video vram 2 meg video card.  The
crash only occurs when I'm leaving one application and opening an other.  It
usually occurs when I open modeler or leave modeler and open lightwave
(although it has also happened when opening the media player and the clock
before I've even opened modeler the first time).  I've found that I seem to
crash much less often if I set the sentinel driver to start manually instead
of automatically in the driver control panel.  Then after I boot up I turn
on the driver and run modeler and lightwave.  I've talked to the tech
support at both newtek and rainbow and they don't seem to have any ideas.
If anyone is having this problem please let me know and if you have figured
out how to solve it please tell me.  You can send any problem descriptions

solve it please post it to the group in case anyone else has the same
